TrumPutin, TrumPets and personal development

Back in 2021 forensic psychiatrist Bandy Lee said the following about attraction to TrumPutin:

"Narcissistic symbiosis refers to the developmental wounds that make the leader-follower relationship magnetically attractive. The leader, hungry for adulation to compensate for an inner lack of self-worth, projects grandiose omnipotence—while the followers, rendered needy by societal stress or developmental injury, yearn for a parental figure. When such wounded individuals are given positions of power, they arouse similar pathology in the population that creates a 'lock and key' relationship."

Also keep in mind Lakoff's analysis of the 'strict father' morality versus the nurturing parents model. The former is more typical for conservatives, the later for liberals. Also recall all the recent TrumPet 'big daddy' talk.

Combine that with Kohlberg's moral developmental model and we can see where those who identify with liberal and conservative are in this developmental process.

It is interesting that some in the developmental movement are now proclaiming TrumPutin as a vanguard for advanced personal development. It seems rather that they have their own  daddy 'developmental injuries' that are in dire need of some serious cleaning up before they can lay claim to anything beyond such injury.
