Will Jan. 6 committee put pressure on AG Garland?

Continuing this post where the Committee filed in federal court claiming Twitler engaged in a criminal conspiracy. This article wonders if it will put pressure on the Attorney General to begin a criminal prosecution. The Committee needs to soon step up a criminal referral to the Justice Dept., because if they lose the House majority in the next election it will be immediately shut down. 

Schiff gives the excuse that the Justice Dept. doesn't need the Committee's criminal referral to begin its own prosecution. Could this be a signal that the Committee won't send one? If so, it gives the Justice Dept. an excuse not to criminally pursue the case, claiming they have insufficient evidence. 

I hope it's not the case that both are avoiding it. Therefore we the people must put pressure on both the Committee to provide the criminal referral before the election this fall, as well as on the Justice Dept. to pursue a criminal prosecution. Democracy is on the line here and we may well lose it if these criminals get away with insurrection, seditious conspiracy and treason.
